The medical transcription program is an intensive, hands-on program specializing in the
development of vital skills in medical transcription and medical office administration.
The Medical transcription program is comprised of 2 separate training modules running concurrently:
The first module is the billing and coding course and the second module
is the medical transcription.
The medical transcription module is a hands-on skill-building course specializing in the development
of touch keyboarding and medical case study transcription utilizing a Dictaphone and a PC. Upon successful
completion of the program the student will be exposed to the following skills and topics:
- Gross Human Anatomy
- Medical Terminology
- Medical Billing
- CPT and ICD Coding
- Patient Registration Procedures
- Medical Transcription
- Medical Case Study Interpretation
Internship program is available but not mandatory for this program.
